In the IPL 2023 match-40 between Delhi Capitals and SunRisers Hyderabad, SRH ended their losing streak with a close 9-run victory over DC.

Aiden Markram, the SRH captain, won the toss and elected to bat first. Mayank Markande's impressive 2 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs limited DC's chase to 188 for 7, as they fell 9 runs short of SRH's target of 197. Heinrich Klaasen played a crucial role in setting up the target, remaining unbeaten with 53 off 27 balls while Abhishek Sharma smashed 67 runs off just 36 balls. Despite Mitchell Marsh's excellent bowling figures of 4 for 27, DC couldn't chase the target down.
